Finding Back Pain Relief Through Low Impact Exercises
General September 11th, 2008Exercise is a life-transforming aid for people looking for effective back pain treatment, that will make more of a difference to your sense of well-being than lots of other methods for healing back pain – including the best food and drink, the greatest sex, and even the most exhilarating sports. The only catch is that you have to take action to enjoy the health giving benefits.
No doubt, if you’re like most people in need of low back pain relief, you find 24 hours a day just don’t go far enough. It’s a virtual impossibility to find time for just one quarter of an hour of back strengthening exercises, let alone the three quarters of an hour to an hour, 3 to 4 times a week you’d need to do for the aerobic exercise requisite of a normal exercise program.
I’m going to give you some very powerful reasons to find the time in your day – come hell or high water – because, again, individuals who have known chronic back pain relief everywhere know that even the easiest back exercises will prove more beneficial to you long term, for easing back pain, than any other method you can try.
We’ll begin with the argument that you just don’t have any time. Would you believe that by spending just a few minutes every day to do some dead easy exercises could be the equivalent of an insurance policy against the next time you’ll have to take a few days sick leave owing to your lower back pain?
If time is money for you, then the time you invest in exercise, which doesn’t cost any money, it will save you the future expense (and lost time) that you could no doubt spend on chiropractic, osteopathy, massage therapy, and so on – the next time your back muscles seize up and make your life a misery again.
Don’t think it can work? You say you’re already running so flat out that you’re struggling to get a good nights sleep, and your energy levels seem to be at an all time low? There’s your next reason to start exercising. As you’ll soon discover, exercise, especially regular aerobic exercise, can and will help you feel a lot better and make a big difference in helping to ease back pain. If you take the plunge, you’ll be forgiven for thinking that your remaining energy will drain away, but, exercise actually boosts your energy levels.
As exercising helps burn off excess calories and helps your body burn off fat, it won’t make you tired. On the contrary, exercising on a regular basis makes you feel more alert and alive – as you’re far more likely to sleep better when you exercise, you’ll get a much deeper sleep from fewer sleeping hours.
